Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant

Since joining the Brownsburg Animal Clinic staff in July 2009, Karen has worked primarily as a receptionist, although she’s always ready and able to pitch in as a veterinary assistant whenever needed.

In her spare time, Karen has volunteered with ARK Rescue Group. She and her husband share their home with four dogs, Max, Ellie, Louie and Missy, and a cat named Obe.

Megan Harris

Registered Veterinary Technician

Megan graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. In the bachelors program, Megan focused on behavior modification and helped teach puppy classes at Purdue University.

Megan joined Brownsburg Animal Clinic in July 2009 after working in a veterinary emergency hospital for a year and a half.

She has two cats, Mohave and Dozer, and a leopard gecko, Dimitri. Megan has always loved working with animals and is excited to be in this profession for years to come.

Receptionist

A Pennsylvania native, Missy’s family moved to Hawaii, when she was 11 years old and lived there 18 years.

After finishing high school, she worked as a veterinary assistant for eight years.

Missy, her husband and their two children have lived in Indiana since 2004. They have one dog, Pua, who “rules the roost.”

Missy joined Brownsburg Animal Clinic in 2010.

Erica Marks

Veterinary Assistant

Erica joined the clinic in 2010.

She is currently studying veterinary technology at Harrison College, where she is also president of the Harrison College Veterinary Technician Association.

In her free time, Erica enjoys swimming, camping and spending time with friends, family and pets Pumpkin and Heidi.

After completing her studies, Erica hopes to work in large animal veterinary medicine.

Tina McNaughton

Registered Veterinary Technician

After her graduation from Brownsburg High School in 2005, Tina’s passion for animals inspired her to study veterinary technology at Harrison College, where she completed her registered veterinary technician degree in 2009.

She and her family share their home with many pets, including two cats, Rowdy and Garfunkel, and two dogs, Cindy Lu and Mr. Wiggles.

Tina joined the Brownsburg Animal Clinic staff in April 2008.

Denise Thomas

Veterinary Assistant

Denise started working at Brownsburg Animal Clinic in August 2007.

She served in the Navy and enjoys computers, reading and keeping in touch with her family in California.

Denise is married and has one son and a granddaughter. She has a dog named Button who is not at all spoiled.
